Cristiana becomes Laurel

Upon my true faith in God,
I do here vow to be from this day forward a laurel and peer,
ever honest and kind,
and ever willing to bind myself in fealty to the Crown of my Kingdom,
to speak and to be silent,
to teach and to learn,
to nourish talent in myself and also in others,
to give and to serve,
and to receive with grace,
in such matters as concern this society,
with compassion and loyalty,
till death take me or the world end.
